Biotop Oy

The business concept behind Biotop is that through area network covering the whole country the company can provide top quality biotechnology products for use in research and diagnostic kits for laboratories.

Biotop Oy was founded in 1991 at about the same time as when strong investment resulted in building of new biotech parks in Finland. Biotop activities started in Oulu in Medipolis Center, which is the most northern biopark in Finland. Today Biotop has office also in Biocity, Turku and together with City-Lab Oy in both bioparks in Helsinki; Cultivator and Biomedicum.

Biotop has grown steadily and today it represents over twenty foreign companies. Products distributed are reagents for molecular laboratories and cell and tissue culture laboratories, consumables for molecular laboratories, diagnostic kits for clinical, environmental and food laboratories.
